Pompton Plains, N.J. — August 30, 2011 — Zaxcom today introduced the new mono TRX900LA (LA) and stereo TRX900LAS (LAS) digital recording wireless transmitters with 125mW power output. These new transmitters open new possibilities to the sound mixer by running for nine hours at 125 mW output power. These new transmitters take full advantage of all the unique features Zaxcom Digital Wireless offers: internal backup recording, ZaxNet remote control, encrypted transmission, and the new patent pending feature PowerRoll.
“Our new LA and LAS recording wireless transmitters offer a unique combination of extended operating time and high power output, ensuring the most reliable audio transmission,” said Glenn Sanders, Zaxcom’s president. ”Running all day on a single set of batteries combined with ZaxNet remote control eliminates the need to interact with talent as well.”
Zaxcom’s new patent pending feature PowerRoll extends the battery life for an additional two hours by adjusting the transmitters power level to output 125mW only when the audio received from them is being recorded by a ZaxNet compatible recorder. When the transmitter audio isn’t being recorded the power is automatically reduced to 50mW.
LA and LAS run cool and have rounded edges for talent comfort. Like all Zaxcom Digital Wireless these two new transmitters include patented internal timecode stamped backup recording directly within the body pack to eliminate the risk of audio loss due to interference or signal drop out. With 100-percent digital audio wireless transmission and no intermodulation, the LA and LAS provides superior audio quality that rivals that of a hardwired connection. Each unit also features an internal SMPTE timecode reader/generator.
The mono LA is available for purchase at a list price of $1,695. The LAS which is appropriate where a stereo image, with its clear right/left perception of audio, will enhance the sound track, is available for a purchase price of $2,050.
