The Highlights
TRXCL5 is a camera link transmitter that combines three functions in one device. It sends audio and embedded timecode to a camera over UHF, delivers audio and timecode to an ERX over ZaxNet’s 2.4 GHz signal, and sends remote control commands to Zaxcom transmitters. Perfect for film, television, ENG, and beyond.
Intermodulation Resistant
Have multiple transmitters close together? TRXCL5 keeps intermodulation in check, reducing unwanted signal interference. Go ahead. Add more wireless to the mix.
Integrated Timecode
TRXCL5 can receive timecode through BNC or over ZaxNet’s 2.4 GHz signal. A Mute Till Jam option keeps timecode output off until the internal generator is jammed, preventing incorrect timecode from being sent to other devices. An Auto Jam option automatically starts and stops recording based on incoming timecode.
Audio. Secured, Backed Up
A fully encrypted digital transmission prevents eavesdropping, while audio can be simultaneously transmitted and recorded to an internal memory card. MARF recordings eliminate file corruption during power loss or accidental card removal.
ZaxNet. Remote & Quality Control
Control settings remotely with ZRC or any ZaxNet device. Change frequencies, power settings, input gain, start/stop recording, manage timecode, and format cards without touching the transmitter. Send quality control audio over ZaxNet and monitor it on the spot with an ERX.
ZHD. Unlock More Channels
ZHD expands RF channel capacity, providing more wireless channels within the same 1 MHz of spectrum. Mono, Stereo, XR, ZHD48, and ZHD96 modes offer flexible configurations for the demands of any production, even in the most congested RF environments.
PowerRoll. Battery Life, Extended
PowerRoll conserves battery life by automatically reducing transmission power when idle and increasing it when triggered to record.
GUI Bridge. Maximize Setup
An RS422 connection links to the Zaxcom GUI Bridge for easy setup and remote control of Zaxcom wireless systems over the internet.
Workflow Friendly
A TA5 input accepts balanced stereo line level audio or AES digital audio with sample rate conversion. Selectable transmit power and an 8-18V DC, 4-pin Hirose power connector provide options for different setups. The lightweight metal housing is built for demanding environments, while the bright display makes settings easy to read.
