Pompton Plains, N.J. — April 4, 2013 — Zaxcom today announced a new addition to its line of Digital Recording Wireless, the world’s first dedicated stereo Camera Link, TRX900CL. The new TRX900CL is a dedicated stereo camera link transmitter for sending two channels of audio and timecode from sound bag to camera. Like all wireless in the Zaxcom TRX series the Camera Link has built-in backup recording with timecode and the ability to send and receive timecode, IFB audio and remote control commands via ZaxNet or a dedicated Zaxcom IFB transmitter.
Like all technologies in Zaxcom’s popular TRX product line, the Camera Link features 100-percent digital transmission for audio quality that rivals a hard-wired system. All audio transmissions from the Camera Link are compander free and are fully encrypted to eliminate the possibility of production audio interception and theft. With an internal timecode-referenced audio recorder that backs up all wireless transmissions on a removable microSD card, the Camera Link eliminates the possibility of audio loss due to interference or signal dropout. The Camera Link is powered externally and consumes an ultra low 2.16 watts.
“What makes this transmitter special is the added detail paid to RF interference in the sound bag. We added screws to every inch of the case to eliminate spurious radiation that can affect other receivers in an audio bag. There are also two switched band pass filters for an extra wide frequency range of 40 MHz,” said Glenn Sanders, Zaxcom president. “The Camera Link will be one of the highlights of our booth at the 2013 NAB Show, and we’re anticipating a lot of interest among audio mixers worldwide.”
The Camera Link is compatible with all Zaxcom wireless receivers, IFB receivers and IFB / ZaxNet transmitters. A full range of professional audio technologies from Zaxcom, including the Camera Link, will be on display at the 2013 NAB Show, Booth C2549.
