The Oasis is a full featured mixing panel with 8 motorized, touch sensitive faders on 3 active banks for up to 40 assignable fader channels. In addition you’ve got hardware trim controls, transport control, dedicated PFL keys, routing control and more!

The Oasis controls Nomad 12 via a single serial control cable, all the processing and recording stay within the Nomad. This turns Nomad 12 into a no compromise cart based mixing and recording system that can quickly and seamlessly transition from a cart to a bag.

Oasis features include:
-Full featured touch screen and / or computer interface
-Direct ZaxNet gain control of Digital Recording Wireless
-Full function playback controller for simultaneous audio playback while recording
-Direct interface with the Zaxcom RX-12 wireless receiver
-Ultra-low power consumption of 2.4 watts (200ma @ 12 volts)
-Direct access to all Nomad mixing controls
-Instant access and editing of metadata via touch screen or keyboard
-MovieSlate® Wi-Fi interface for direct sharing of metadata
-MP3 transcription recorder with timecode and metadata writes directly to microSD card for instant client delivery
-MP3 file transfer directly from Nomad Touch via standard Wi-Fi connection via e-mail or FTP

Please note, in order to use the Touch Screen (or regular computer) interface you’ll need something to run the software GUI on.  For now, it’s got to be a windows tablet or computer… but Oasis will be compatible with OS soon – when that happens this note will be gone!
For now, it requires a Windows 8 or 10 machine with a minimum screen size of 12″.  For guidance purposes we’ve put a few recommendations in the support section of this page.
When choosing your computer be sure the screen is at least 12″ and has an internal backup battery – you never know when your cart will lose power!
Speaking of power, be sure the computer is compatible with your cart – many computers only run on 16 to 19 volts and your cart will probably run on 12 volts so you’ll need a power inverter to supply AC power to the computer.
