POMPTON PLAINS, N.J. — May 7, 2026 — Zaxcom today announced the new DCiRX UHF audio receiver is now shipping worldwide.  DCiRX is a next-gen audio solution that integrates a receiver, recorder, automixer, and USB-C interface into a compact device designed for filmmakers, broadcasters, and content creators.

Technology
Built on advanced Narrow Band Direct Conversion technology, DCiRX is engineered to be resistant to nearby RF sources, including cell phones, walkie-talkies, and 2.4 GHz interference, resulting in crystal clear production audio. Additionally, DCiRX incorporates a tunable tracking front-end filter to suppress interference from nearby transmitters, extend wireless operating range, and ensure stable RF performance.

UHF Spectrum
DCiRX operates across 470 to 698 MHz UHF for reliable range and consistent performance when every take counts. An autoscan feature quickly analyzes RF conditions and locks in the optimal frequency, reducing congestion without manual tuning.

Microphone Support
DCiRX can receive mono or stereo wireless transmitter audio and also accept a direct 5V lavalier mic or a 48V phantom powered mic, supporting up to three microphones at once.

32-Bit Float Internal Recording
With a built-in 4-track recorder, DCiRX records 3 ISO tracks plus 1 automix track with timecode in 32-bit float or 24-bit fixed to microSD for easy offloading and transfer.

USB-C Interface
For creators, podcasting, and streaming, DCiRX doubles as a 4-channel USB-C interface for mobile, computers, and USB-C camera setup, delivering 3 ISO tracks plus 1 automix track with timecode. Just plug in and record. DCiRX also combines a wireless receiver and professional mic preamp, capturing pristine audio into any DAW from wireless or wired mics with studio-grade gain and 48V phantom power.

Additional Functionality
A dual balanced 2-channel output delivers mic or line level audio adjustable up to +12 dBu for easy camera integration via TA5 or adapters. This allows DCiRX to support multiple audio signals to camera, whether from an external microphone, a talent lavalier, or a full production mix.

DCiRX also pairs with the *Blackmagic Camera ProDock to transform the iPhone 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max into a compact production rig with broadcast quality audio, timecode, and recording in a single setup.

Additionally, DCiRX offers locking 3.5mm jacks for headphones and SMPTE timecode, dual SMA connectors provide antenna support, while an OLED screen simplifies navigation. DCiRX runs on 3 AA batteries, delivering up to 7 hours with Li-ion or 5 hours with NiMH, and mounts easily on cameras, sound bags, or mobile rigs. Retail price: $1,595 USD.
