DESIGN MATTERS
The ZMT3 is an ultra small bodypack transmitter filled with Zaxcom’s Emmy Award winning Digital Recording Wireless features like NeverClip™ and ZaxNet remote control. This tiny unit will surely open the door to new ways of recording sound for television, sports, theatre and feature films.
DESIGN MATTERS
The ZMT3 is a wide-band transmitter featuring Zaxcom’s High Density (ZHD) Modulation. The ZMT3 transmitters are also capable of running all existing mono Zaxcom modulations maintaining compatibility with all Zaxcom receivers. ZHD modulation conforms to all currently proposed FCC regulations for spectrally efficient wireless transmission.
DESIGN MATTER
Small and durable, it’s housed in a high strength, impact resistant nylon polymer casing with rounded edges, machined metal and rubber gaskets. ZMT runs cool, the combination of the nylon composite case and its power efficiency make the heat transfer practically nonexistent.
Supports two lavalier microphones in stereo mode or a single lavalier in mono mode. Connection type: two microdot inputs.
Audio is transmitted using 100% digital modulation. Transmitting digitally allows the audio to be encrypted. Zaxcom uses an advanced encryption system to keep audio private.
Transmitted audio can be simultaneously recorded internally to a microSD card. Audio files are recorded using the highly reliable lossless MARF (Mobile Audio Recording Format) which eliminates file corruption common to recordings due to a dead battery or early card removal.
The ZMT3-X provides a 118 dB dynamic range in mono mode and 108 dB in stereo mode. Selectable power of 25, 50, or 75 mW. An OLED displays key information.
The ZMT3 works with ZaxNet™, a long-range remote control system allowing users to change frequency, input gain, and power output without removing the transmitter from the talent.
The ZMT3 works with ZaxNet, Zaxcom’s 2.4-GHz RF network that distributes remote control commands, timecode, and IFB audio. With ZaxNet, one can remotely control transmitter settings such as gain, frequency channel selection, transport controls, and output power levels. The ZMT3 also sends a Quality Control audio signal over ZaxNet so when micing someone you don’t have to go to the cart to hear how it sounds, you can use an ERX to listen to the mic right on the spot.
Zaxcom High Density modulation (ZHD) increases the number of available channels to 9 in one MHz of spectrum space.
A rechargeable NP-50 Lithium battery provides up to 5 1/2 hours of runtime.
MHZ BANDS
The ZMT3 can be ordered in one of two configurations:
ZMT3.5 – covering blocks 20 through 23 (512-614 MHz)
ZMT3.6 – covering blocks 23 through 26 (596-698 MHz) – Outside the US only
